Hubie Dunn

Hubie Dunn captained the 1943 gymnastics team that beat Minnesota and Indiana and was cited as the "top team in the Midwest." He finished seventh in the nation on the parallel bars in 1942, won six individual championships his senior year and was recognized as one of the top college gymnasts in the nation. After graduation, Dunn served as a junior officer on the USS Shubrick that played a key role in the D-Day invasion of Northern France. Dunn went on to coach college gymnastics for 24 years, and he is enshrined in five other Hall of Fames for his accomplishments in the sport.
