Lauren Haas was a power-hitting first baseman for the Salukis who posted a career .320 batting average and finished third in school history in career home runs (24) and fifth in doubles (33). She was the Missouri Valley Conference MVP in 2008 when she hit .388, which ranks eighth in single-season batting average at Southern. During her tenure, the Salukis advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and also won the league title in 2005. She was a two-time All-Conference pick and a three-time Academic All-Conference and All-District selection.
