Sue Briggs Krismanits

Sue Briggs Krismanits ranks as one of Southern Illinois University's all-time great tennis players. She compiled a three-year record of 74-21 and won two AIAW state singles titles and one Midwest Regional Crown. The Rock Island native qualified for three AIAW national championship meets and went unbeaten during the 1976 fall season. Her single-season (27-4) and career won-less records stand as SIU records. She teamed with Marsha Bladel to win the 1978 Missouri Valley Conference doubles titles. The 1977 Virginia Gordon Award and 1978 Outstanding Leader and Athlete Award winner has coached Augustana College to state and regional championships.
