SIU Volleyball Falls To SW Missouri

The Southern Illinois University Carbondale volleyball team used the home crowd to beat Southwest Missouri State University 15-11 in game one of their MVC match, but couldn't stop the Bears (11-2, 4-1 in MVC) after the opening game. The Salukis (7-8, 0-4 in MVC) lost the next three games 3-15, 10-15, 10-15 to drop their fourth straight MVC game and sixth match overall.
Kristie Kemner led the Salukis with 11 kills and 12 digs. Jenny Noel added 13 kills and 7 digs and Qiana Nelson chipped in with 12 kills and 4 kills for the Salukis.
Erin Murphy's 15 kills and 10 digs led the Bears. Rese McNatt contributed 12 kills and Liesbeth Gorremans chipped in 11 kills ad 12 digs for Southwest Missouri State.
