Celebrate a fabulous era of Saluki Basketball

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki Basketball will host a reunion for the Paul Lambert-era teams that advanced to the NIT in 1975 and the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in 1977.
The reunion will take place on Jan. 21, at the Carbondale Civic Center, with a reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
Already confirmed to attend are Coach Lambert's wife (Carol Lambert Spence), Mike Glenn, Joe C. Meriweather, Barry Smith, Richard Ford, Milt Huggins, Tim Ricci, Greg Starrick, Mouse Garrett, Perry Hines, Bill Perkins, Shag Nixon and many more.
Saluki Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Reis will emcee the event, which costs $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight. Call the Saluki Basketball office at 618-453-4667 to purchase tickets. The dinner menu includes Hawaiian chicken and bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin. A buffet will be provided by 17th Street Bar & Grill.
