CARBONDALE, Ill. - Friday night's Saluki men's basketball game against No. 16-ranked Butler at 8 p.m. at SIU Arena is officially sold out. The contest is a re-match of last year's thrilling BracketBuster game, won by Southern Illinois in Indianapolis.
This time, the Salukis (5-5) will have the home-court advantage. The Bulldogs enter the game with an 11-1 record and a No. 16 ranking in the Associated Press poll and a No. 17 spot in the Coaches Poll. Both teams made the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last year.
The game, which will be broadcast on ESPNU, is SIU's third sell-out of the season. The Indiana game (Dec. 1) and Creighton game (Jan. 26) are both sell-outs, as well.
