Three Salukis named AP All-Americans

NEW YORK - The Southern Illinois University football team had three players named to the Associated Press FCS All-America teams that were announced on Wednesday.
Senior running back Deji Karim and senior linebacker Brandin Jordan were named to the first team while junior cornerback Korey Lindsey was selected to the third team.
Southern Illinois' two first team selections tied for with four other schools for the most in the nation while its three choices overall tied for the second most among all the FCS teams.
This was the second All-America honor for all three of the players this season. Jordan and Karim were named Walter Camp All-Americans on Dec. 14 and Lindsey was honored by the AFCA on Dec. 15.
