Stephany Neptune named MVC Newcomer of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Southern Illinois women's basketball player Stephany Neptune has been named the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week the league announced Monday.
Neptune, a senior guard/forward from New York, N.Y., set a new Southern Illinois program record Saturday night posting 28 rebounds, 17 points, five assists, two blocks and two steals in a win over Murray State.
Her rebound tally is second all-time in Missouri Valley Conference history. She currently ranks in the top-10 in the league in eight categories, leading the league in rebounds and defensive rebounds.
Neptune was also named the MVC Newcomer of the Week Nov. 23.
This week's MVC Player of the Week is Missouri State's Jaleshia Roberson.
