MyCole Pruitt named to AFCA All-America Team

WACO, Texas - Southern Illinois junior tight end MyCole Pruitt has been named to the 2013 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) FCS All-America team, the AFCA announced today. This is the fourth organization to name Pruitt a first-team All-American following the 2013 season.
In 10 games this season, Pruitt led all tight ends in receptions per game with 4.8 and was third in the FCS in total tight end receptions. He finished the regular season with 601 receiving yards, second most among FCS tight ends. During the 2013 season, he became SIU's all-time leader in career receptions (140) and receiving yards (1,740) by a tight end.
In addition, Pruitt has been named a first-team All-American by The Sports Network, the Associated Press and the FCS Athletic Directors Association. The College Football Performance Awards also honored him as the FCS' top tight end with their CFPA Tight End Award.
