Thik Bol undergoes knee surgery

Will be reevaluated in eight weeks

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois senior forward Thik Bol underwent a successful surgery Wednesday morning on his knee. Dr. J.T. Davis of The Orthopaedic Institute performed the surgery and said he was optimistic.

Bol's knee will be reevaluated in approximately eight weeks.

"As always, I am impressed with Dr. Davis and his team," SIU head coach Barry Hinson said. "They are an excellent resource in our community, and we appreciate their great work on our behalf."
