CARBONDALE, Ill. - The SIU women's basketball team will compete in front of a home crowd for the first time in 607 days on Saturday at 1 p.m. when it hosts the Millikin Big Blue for an exhibition. Tickets start at just $5, and SIU students can get in free with ID all season long. Per state and local health guidelines, masks are required for entry to Banterra Center.

SIU returns its top four scorers from last season, and 89% of last year's scoring overall.
SIU also returns all five starters from last year's squad.
Senior Makenzie Silvey enters the season ranked fifth all-time in points scored with 1,522. Saluki Hall of Famer Cartaesha Macklin is the current record holder with 1,779 points scored.
SIU ended last season ranked eighth nationally in team GPA with an average of 3.716. This was the highest mark in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and the highest finish in program history.
SIU was picked to finish eighth in the MVC Preseason Poll.
The 2021-22 season will be head coach Cindy Stein's final season, as she announced in July her intent to retire after the season.
Millikin University is an NCAA Division III program from Decatur, Ill. The Big Blue are the reigning College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) champions, and were picked to repeat as champions in the CCIW Preseason Poll.
