CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois hosts Missouri State on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. in a game televised on the Valley TV Network (Bally Sports MW/IN/KC, NBC Sports Chicago, ESPN+ outside the network footprint).
The Bears (16-7, 7-3) won the first meeting in Springfield, 81-76, on Jan. 12. The Salukis (11-11, 4-6) led by as many as eight in the first half, and Missouri State led by as much as nine in the second. Isiaih Mosely (33) and Marcus Domask (20) were the leading scorers for each team. The Bears had a 40-10 advantage in points in the paint, while SIU made 14-of-29 shots from 3-point.
Quoting Coach Mullins
"They [Missouri State's Isiaih Mosely and Gaige Prim] are obviously two of the best players in the league, two of the best scorers in the league. They get the ball and make plays and they are both really good passers. I think Mosely is an underrated passer and I think we all know how good Prim is…we have to try and not give them the easy ones. We have to make them work for their points. Offensively, when we move the ball, good things happen."
