SIU Women Finish in First Place in MVC Showcase's South Site

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois women's swimming and diving team emerged victorious in the south site of the MVC Showcase Saturday afternoon, finishing with a team score of 909.50. Missouri State took second place with a score of 845, Little Rock finished in third with a score of 613, and Evansville finished in fourth with a score of 480.50. The times will be compared with the North site to determine final standings.

"We were happy with how our women competed this weekend and certainly happy with winning the South version of the MVC Showcase. We'll see how we stack up with the rest of the MVC when we put all of the results together, but we know there is a lot of work to be done between now anf February when it's all on the line
