NORMAL, Ill. — Southern Illinois returns to action on Saturday at Illinois State in a game televised on ESPN+ at 7 p.m.
The Salukis (11-12, 4-7) have won four of the last five meetings with the Redbirds (10-13, 3-7).
In their most recent trip to Normal, the Salukis won, 58-55, on Jan. 20, 2020. They scored 41 points in the second half to rally from a 10-point deficit. Prior to the win in 2020, the Salukis had lost 12-straight games at Redbird Arena.
On the year, only Missouri State (81) and Bradley (70) have reached 70 points against Southern. SIU held its first 14 opponents under 70 points.
