CHICAGO – Chants of "S-I-U, S-I-U", echoed through Credit Union One Arena as Southern Illinois basketball walked off the court with a 68-65 win over UIC Sunday afternoon to close out the regular season.
With the victory, SIU (22-9, 14-6 MVC) secured the No. 3 seed at Arch Madness next weekend in St. Louis. The Salukis will play at 8:30 p.m. CT Friday night against the winner of the No. 6/No. 11 game.
