
SIU Men’s Basketball Set to Compete in 2025 Jacksonville Classic

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois Men's Basketball is headed to Florida this November to compete in the 2025 Jacksonville Classic, a premier early-season tournament featuring a diverse field of programs from across the country. The three-day event will be held November 23-25 on the campus of Edward Waters University in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Salukis will open tournament play on Sunday, Nov. 23, against Delaware of Conference USA, followed by a marquee matchup on Monday, Nov. 24, against UAB of the American Athletic Conference. All game times will be announced later.
SIU joins a competitive field that includes teams from the Missouri Valley, Conference USA, American, Horizon League, Southern Conference, Sun Belt, CAA, and WAC. Additional teams include UNCG, Youngstown State, UTEP, William & Mary, Georgia Southern, Abilene Christian, and UTSA.
"We're excited to be part of the Jacksonville Classic and to test ourselves against some strong early-season competition," said Saluki head coach Scott Nagy. "This is a great opportunity for our guys to grow, compete, and represent SIU on a national stage."
