CARBONDALE, Ill. – Just two days out from the Credit Union 1 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, the MVC has announced its 2025-2026 All-MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, and three Salukis, Kelowna Ngoyi, Alayna Kraus, and Karris Allen, were among the selections.
Ngoyi earns a spot on the Scholar-Athlete team in her first year of eligibility as a sophomore. The Montreal native currently holds a 3.92 GPA as she majors in Computer Science. On the court, Ngoyi has appeared in 20 games this season for a total of 69 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kraus makes the Scholar-Athlete Team cut in her first year as a Saluki. The Oral Roberts transfer has been Southern's number one offensive option this year, leading the team in points-per-game at 15.5 and doing so on an efficient 41.3% shooting mark. The Psychology major currently holds a perfect 4.0 GPA.
As for Allen, this is her first time on the Scholar-Athlete Team list. The senior holds a 3.59 GPA in Exercise Science. Allen has played an important role off the bench for SIU all season, appearing in 23 games while adding 4.3 points-per-game and 3.2 rebounds-per-game.
These three are the first Salukis to earn spots on the All-MVC Scholar-Athlete team since 2024 when Paige Clubb made the Third Team and Adrianna Katcher was an Honorable Mention.
