Southern's MVC Tournament Matchup Postponed to Saturday

MURRAY, Ky. - The Missouri Valley Conference has canceled Friday's baseball tournament play, the league announced Friday. All three originally scheduled games will take place Saturday, weather permitting.

Southern Illinois was scheduled to play No. 2 Indiana State in an elimination game, and will do so at the originally scheduled time of 3 p.m., but on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Ky.

Were Southern to lose, it would be eliminated from championship contention. With a win, it would play the loser of No. 1 UIC and No. 3 Murray State at 7 p.m for a spot in the championship Sunday.
