CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois women's basketball and head coach Kelly Bond-White have announced the signing of Jamisen Green to the 2026 roster.
"Any time you have the opportunity to keep a local player home, it's special," says Coach Bond-White. "Jamisen has had an outstanding high school career and has represented her community the right way. What stood out to us is her willingness to embrace a challenge. She loves Southern Illinois, she wanted to be a Saluki, and she's eager to continue developing her game at the Division I level. Her work ethic, humility, and competitive spirit make her a great fit for our program and culture."

A southern Illinois standout, Green arrives from Harrisburg High School as one of the most accomplished players in program history. The 5-foot-9 guard earned Southern Illinois Player of the Year honors while becoming Harrisburg's all-time leading scorer with 2,225 career points. She also garnered Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State Second Team recognition and helped lead Harrisburg to a River-to-River Conference Championship.
Known throughout the region for her competitiveness and commitment to improvement, Green built her career through consistency, toughness, and a relentless work ethic. Harrisburg head coach Coach Stewart described her as "the hardest worker we've had here at Harrisburg."
Green's signing reflects SIU's continued commitment to identifying and developing talent within the region while providing local student-athletes an opportunity to compete at the highest level.
Green plans to study Exercise Science within the School of Human & Health Sciences while pursuing a career in Physical Therapy at Southern Illinois University.
