SIU Men’s Basketball Announces Nonconference Schedule

CARBONDALE, Ill. – SIU men's basketball head coach Scott Nagy has announced the Salukis' 2026-27 nonconference schedule, a slate that features five regular-season home games at Banterra Center, three games in the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, and a road trip to a Power Four opponent to close out the nonconference season.
The schedule begins with a pair of exhibition contests at Banterra Center. The Salukis will host Lindenwood on Oct. 19 before welcoming Tennessee Tech on Oct. 25.
SIU opens the regular season at home against Maryville on Nov. 2 before traveling to Kansas City for a matchup with UMKC on Nov. 6.
The Salukis return to Carbondale on Nov. 12 to host Richmond before heading to Charlotte, N.C., for a neutral-site contest against a yet-to-be-announced opponent on Nov. 17.
SIU will then travel to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, for the Paradise Jam from Nov. 20-23. Opponents and game times for the tournament will be announced at a later date.
Following the Thanksgiving break, the Salukis return home to face Portland State on Nov. 28 and Washington State on Dec. 3 before renewing a regional matchup with Southeast Missouri State on Dec. 9 at Banterra Center.
The final two nonconference road games will take SIU to Little Rock, Ark., to face UALR on Dec. 12 before a Dec. 29 meeting with Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.
The Missouri Valley Conference schedule, game times and television information will be announced at a later date.
