Both Teams and 10 Individuals Earn CSCAA Scholar All-American Honors

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America has announced its Team and Individual Scholar All-Americans. Both Southern Illinois teams made the cut as did 10 individuals.
Based off their spring 2026 GPAs, Scholar All-American Teams had to achieve a GPA of 3.00 to earn the honor. Both Saluki squads smashed this mark, with the women's team compiling a 3.524 GPA while the men's mark sat at 3.520.
As for the individuals, all of the Saluki honorees but one landed on the Second Team, where, in order to do so, athletes must have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher, met an NIC "A" time standard or a NCAA "B" qualifying standard for the national championship. The nine Salukis earning Second-Team honors are:
Southern's lone First-Team Scholar All-American was Olivia Herron (Pre-Vet Medicine). To make the First Team, athletes must have a 3.5 GPA or higher while participating in the NCAA Championships. Herron competed in the 100-breaststroke, 200-breaststroke, and 200-IM at this year's NCAA Championships, earning Second-Team All-American in the 200-breaststroke.
