SIU Women's Basketball Releases 2026 Non-Conference Schedule

CARBONDALE, Ill. – SIU women's basketball head coach Kelly Bond-White and staff have announced the Salukis' 2026-27 non-conference schedule, a slate that features five regular-season home games at Banterra Center, two games in the Big Easy Classic in New Orleans, and a road trip to Power Four opponent Indiana.
The schedule begins with an exhibition at Banterra Center. The Salukis will host Kentucky Wesleyan on October 22.
SIU opens the regular season at home against Illinois-Springfield on Nov. 3 before traveling to Power Four Indiana for a matchup with the Hoosiers on November 6 in Bloomington, Indiana.
After their contest with Indiana, Southern will travel to Richmond, Kentucky to face off with the Colonels of Eastern Kentucky on November 12.
The Salukis return to Carbondale on November 17 for a pair of home contests against Eastern Illinois and UT Martin on November 20 before heading to Bowling Green, Kentucky for a battle with the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky.
SIU will then travel to New Orleans, Lousiaina, for the Big Easy Classic from Nov. 27-28. On November 27, SIU will face Purdue Fort Wayne at 2:30 p.m. before they take on West Florida on November 28 at 12 p.m.
Following the Big Easy Classic, the Salukis travel to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to face rival Southeast Missouri State on December 1. After their contest with the Redhawks, the Salukis travel to Edwardsville to take on SIU-Edwardsville on December 7.
The final two non-conference matches will take place at Banterra Center. The Salukis face the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans on December 9 and MAC opponent Ohio on December 14
The non-conference schedule's game times and television information will be announced piror to the opening exhibition.
The Missouri Valley Conference schedule, game times, and television information will be announced at a later date.
