MVC Releases Men's Basketball Schedule

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Southern Illinois men's basketball received its 2026-27 Missouri Valley Conference schedule Thursday morning.

The 20-game slate features an even split of 10 home and 10 road games against the other 10 league opponents.

SCHEDULE NOTES

Southern opens league play with two games before Christmas, hosting defending MVC Tournament champion Northern Iowa in the conference opener on Dec. 18 before heading to Drake on Dec. 22.
For the first time since the 2023-24 season, the Salukis will not host a game on New Year's Day.
The Salukis begin 2027 with a Northwest Indiana/Chicago swing at UIC and Valparaiso on Jan. 2 and 5, respectively.
SIU hosts Evansville on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 18.
Southern's final home game is Feb. 24 against UIC.
SIU wraps its regular season at Evansville on Feb. 28.
The Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament begins March 3 at Enterprise Center.
