MVC Releases Men's Basketball Schedule

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Southern Illinois men's basketball received its 2026-27 Missouri Valley Conference schedule Thursday morning.

The 20-game slate features an even split of 10 home and 10 road games against the other 10 league opponents.
SCHEDULE NOTES
- Southern opens league play with two games before Christmas, hosting defending MVC Tournament champion Northern Iowa in the conference opener on Dec. 18 before heading to Drake on Dec. 22.
- For the first time since the 2023-24 season, the Salukis will not host a game on New Year's Day.
- The Salukis begin 2027 with a Northwest Indiana/Chicago swing at UIC and Valparaiso on Jan. 2 and 5, respectively.
- SIU hosts Evansville on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 18.
- Southern's final home game is Feb. 24 against UIC.
- SIU wraps its regular season at Evansville on Feb. 28.
- The Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament begins March 3 at Enterprise Center.
