Shaneyfelt Named MVC Libero of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Senior libero/defensive specialist Jillian Shaneyfelt was named the Missouri Valley Conference's libero of the week on Tuesday.
The Pinckneyville, Illinois native had an impressive stat line over the Salukis' 1-2 weekend at the Austin Peay Governors Classic.
Shaneyfelt recorded 60 digs on the weekend, including 26 against Gardner-Webb. She also tallied 12 assists over the Salukis' 3 matches, with eight coming against Gardner-Webb. Shaneyfelt also made 3 service aces over the weekend, having one in each match.
This is SIU's first player of the week honor of the 2026 season.
The Salukis begin Missouri Valley Conference play with a trip to Evansville on Friday.
