Salukis Offer Free Kids Tickets for October 3 Matchup with Youngstown State

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois University Athletics is inviting families to Saluki Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 3, for Youth Day, where fans can receive up to two free tickets for children ages 12 and under with the purchase of an adult ticket when the Salukis host Youngstown State at 4 p.m.
To claim the complimentary Youth Day tickets, fans should first select an adult ticket. Before adding tickets to their cart, fans can then select up to two complimentary youth tickets. Youth Day is part of SIU Athletics' commitment to creating memorable game-day experiences for young fans and families while welcoming the next generation of Salukis to Saluki Stadium.

The special Youth Day promotion gives families an affordable opportunity to experience Saluki Football while enjoying one of the most anticipated Missouri Valley Football Conference matchups of the season.
The game features a showdown between two of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the Football Championship Subdivision. SIU quarterback DJ Williams enters the season as a preseason All-American and Walter Payton Award watch list candidate after a record-setting 2025 campaign in which he accounted for 3,693 yards of offense and 40 touchdowns. Williams also established a school record for rushing yards by a quarterback.
Youngstown State will counter with Beau Brungard, the reigning Walter Payton Award winner and Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Brungard totaled 4,698 yards of offense and 53 touchdowns during the 2025 season, cementing himself as one of the nation's most dynamic offensive players.
