A former quarterback at Cincinnati and SIU, Michael Lindauer retired from football after the 2023 season to become a graduate assistant for Saluki football in 2024.
A native of Evansville, Ind., Lindauer was a three-star quarterback out of Reitz Memorial High School and played two seasons at Cincinnati, backing up Desmond Ridder.
In 2021, Lindauer transferred to SIU, but missed the entire season with a shoulder injury. He served as Nic Baker's backup during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Lindauer's primary responsibilities on the staff fall on the defensive side, working under defensive coordinator and assistant head coach Antonio James. The Salukis were ranked in the Top 10 of the Football Championship Subdivision in numerous defensive statistical categories in 2023.
