MVC Scholar-Athlete... swam in three events during the season... set new PR in 50-free (23.96)...  best finish was second-place in dual against Indiana State (24.27)... finished first in the 50-free "C" final at the 2022 MVC's... 15 top-eight remarks.
2020-2021 (JUNIOR)
All-MVC First Team Honorable Mention... MVC Scholar-Athlete... placed top-five SIU times as a member of the 200-medley, 200- and 400-freestyle relays... finished sixth in the 50-free "B" final at the MVC Championships... placed third in the "B" final at MVC's... best season finish was second place against Evansville in the 50-freestyle (24.63).
2018-2019 (FRESHMAN, COLORADO MESA)
Competed in eight meets, including the RMAC Championships... Qualified for the "B" final in the 50 free, placing 13th in 24.51 and swam on the Mavs' 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relay teams that each placed 10th overall... Had season-bests of 24.24 (50 free), 53.66 (100 free), 1:56.67 (200 free) at the A3 Performance Invite taking fourth, seventh and eighth, respectively.
PRIOR TO SIU
Desmet had her most productive season as a Maverick under the tutledge of Hanson, as she competed in eight meets as a freshman and tallied a trio of top-10 performances at the 2019 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships. A 15-time state qualifier while at Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township, Mich., Desmet placed in the top-13 in at least two events in each of her four prep seasons. In 2016, she just missed All-State honors when she took ninth in the 50 free with a personal-best of 23.99.

Born December 8. 1999 to Juli and Pat Desmet… Has two older siblings, including brother PJ who swims and Denison University…majoring in exercise science.
