CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois swimming and diving returns to Shea Natatorium this weekend to host SEC opponent Missouri for a two-day meet on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31.
The Salukis look to build on their recent performances against Northern Iowa and St. Thomas, where the team won multiple events, and Oliver Mebs qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
"We're looking forward to a great weekend of competition against a very strong SEC team," head coach Geoff Hanson said. "It's not very often we get a team this good in our pool, so the team is excited about the opportunity to race some of the best in the nation. Our goal is to improve on our season-best performances so far and test ourselves against this level of competition."
SIU will face a strong test against the Tigers as the Salukis continue to develop early-season momentum and work toward their midseason.
