Competed in eight events... set new personal records in 200-IM (1:48.71) and 100-breast (1:00.51)... top-five SIU time in 1650-free... best finishes were third place in 200-IM in dual against Mizzou on 10/9/21 and third place in 1000-free in dual against Henderson State on 1/21/22... 11 top-eight remarks.

2020-2021 (FRESHMAN)

MAC Swimmer-of-the-Week (3/17/21)... competed in eight events... top SIU time in the 1650-free (16:14.97)... placed seventh in 1650-free at MAC Championships... top-five SIU times in 1000-free and 200-IM... best meet was first place finish in 1000-free (9:54.67) in dual meet against Valparaiso on 3/12/21... eight top-five marks.

PRIOR TO SIU

Kinsler arrives in Carbondale by way of Hendersonville, Tenn., where he was a six-time state qualifier at Pope John Paul II High School. As a freshman, Kinsler qualified for the state meet in both the 200 and 500 yard free. As a senior, Kinsler advanced to state in four events (100 breast, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay) and earned All-Region second team honors after he placed ninth in the 200 IM and 10^th in the 100 breast at the state meet. Kinsler swam club for Excel Aquatics and competed at several Southern Zone Open Water Championships, which included a third-place finish in the 3K relay at the U14 level.
