2022-2023 (JUNIOR)

Swam in four events…set two personal records in the 200-yard butterfly (1:54.20) and the 400-yard IM (4:10.37), as well as qualified for National Invitational Championships (NICB) in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:32.47) during the A3 Performance Invitational…set another personal record in the 200-yard IM (2:01.18)… had a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle finals and set a new personal record with a third place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (51.38) at the men’s MAC Championship.

2021-2022 (SOPHOMORE)

Top SIU time in 1000- and 1650-freestyles... competed in 100-fly and 100-free for first time in Saluki career... set new personal records in every event in the year... best finishes were second place in the 1000-freestyle in duals against EIU on 1/28/22 and Henderson State on 1/21/22... 14 top-eight finishes.

2020-2021 (FRESHMAN)

Top-five SIU time in 1650-free... competed in five events all season... best finish was second place in 1000-free (10:06.02) in dual meet against Valparaiso on 3/12/21... five top-five marks.

PRIOR TO SIU

Ben Rutledge is a long-distance freestyler who was a team captain for Normal West in Normal, Ill. Rutledge had a senior season to remember for the Wildcats, as he set a PR of 1:45.58 in the 200 free and helped Normal West take home the gold in the 400 free relay at the 2020 sectional meet. He went on to compete at the 2020 IHSA State Championships for the first time in his career in the 500 free.
