2022 (Junior)

Saw action in the first nine matches of the season before suffering a season-ending injury... had a season-high 14 kills with a .407 hitting percentage in the 2022 season-opener against SIUE (8/26)... had aces in back-to-back matches against Southern U (9/2) and Nicholls (9/3).

2021 (Sophomore)

Appeared in 25 matches, which included 10 starts …. averaged 2.70 kills and .44 digs per set … put down double-digit kills in 12 matches, which included a season-high 18 kills against Central Arkansas (9/17) … had one of her best matches of the season in SIU’s win over Alabama State (9/11) as she hit a season-high .483 with 16 kills to just two errors … 221 total kills were the third-most on the team.

2020 (Freshman)

Appeared in four matches, which included three starts …. averaged 2.85 kills and 1.69 digs per set … made her collegiate debut against Indiana State (3/7) and put down six kills in two sets … put down double-digit kills in two of the four matches she appeared in … recorded the first kill-dig double-double of her career with 14 kills and 15 digs at Drake (3/22) … served her first career ace against Illinois State (3/27).

High School

Starred as a member of Ensworth's volleyball and track and field teams … earned a spot on the 2019 Ultra Ankle Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) Watch List … was instrumental for the Tigers during their run to the elite eight of the 2019 DII AA state tournament … played club volleyball for Tennessee Performance … also excelled on the track … she finished second in the discus at the 2019 Tennessee DII AA State Meet with a school-record toss of 116-11 (35.63m) to help the Tigers take home the state title … reached the podium at the state meet as a sophomore with a sixth-place finish in the discus in 2018 … also competed at the AAU Junior Olympics five times, which included a third-place finish in the high jump in 2015.

Personal

Daughter of Sterling and Debra Gittens … one of seven children … older sister, Nikki, was a two-time state champion in the high jump who went on to play volleyball at South Alabama while another sister, Tyra, is the most decorated female high school track and field athlete in Tennessee history and was the only athlete, male or female, to earn All-America honors in three indoor events during the 2020 season while at Texas A&M.
