Roberts Named MVC Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS - Rolan Roberts was named the State Farm/Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

A senior from Woodbridge, Va., Roberts averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots to earn all-tournament honors, as the Salukis won three games and reached the finals of the Las Vegas Invitational.

Against Iowa State on Nov. 22, he was 10-for-16 from the field and scored 24 points

On Nov. 23 versus Hartford, he led the team with 14 points and three boards in 14 minutes. In the title game against second-ranked Illinois on Nov. 24, he collected 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
