CARBONDALE, Ill. -
Tickets are going fast for the Southern Illinois men's basketball game against Indiana Saturday. As of Friday afternoon, just over 1,000 tickets remained.
The athletic department ticket office in Lingle Hall will open at 8 a.m. Saturday. At noon, tickets will be sold from the SIU Arena box office. All lower bowl seats have been sold.
Coach Weber on the Indiana game: "We are going to have to play special. It is going to have to be a magical night. They are supposed to beat us. They are a Big 10 team. They are bigger, older and they have been to the NCAA Tournament. Can we beat them? Yes. We can beat them, but we are going to have to play good solid, basketball and make plays."
"I told the kids in the lockerroom 'You had a chance last week (against #2 Illinois), but we didn't take advantage of it. Now you have a second chance. We aren't going to have another one. There is nobody else on our schedule that is ranked. If we really want a chance to get into the NCAA Tournament, we need something to hang our hat on. This is one you can hang your hat on."
"If you aren't ready to play Saturday, with the biggest crowd in 11 years, you shouldn't play college basketball."
