Koutsos And Archibald Ranked Among Nation's 2001 Preseason I-AA Position Players

Hatboro, Pa. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale running back Tom Koutsos and defensive end Bryan Archibald were named to The Sports Network 2001 Preseason I-AA Player Position Ratings released this week.
Koutsos, a sophomore from Oswego, Ill., was tabbed 13th among the nation's premier running backs after a banner 2000 season. Carrying the ball 297 times, the first-team all-Gateway pick rushed for 1,257 yards while scoring a team-leading 11 touchdowns.
Senior Archibald, who enters the 2001 campaign after leading the Salukis with eight sacks for a loss of 65 yards last year, was ranked ninth among the I-AA defensive ends. In addition to his sack count, the native of Bartlett, Ill., also registered 44 total tackles.
