Men's Basketball to Hold Alumni Game on Jan. 19

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The men's basketball program will host an alumni game on Sat., Jan. 19, before the Saluki's contest with Indiana State.

All returning players will be introduced at halftime of the SIU game.

Head coach Bruce Weber said he wants to showcase the players who laid the foundation for the team's current success.

"Any player who has been a part of this program at one point or another has contributed to its success," Weber said. "By inviting them back for an alumni game, we have a chance to look back at history and appreciate their contributions."

The exibition is expected to last one hour, and Weber hopes to have 15-20 players participate. Former players interested in playing are encouraged to contact the men's basketball office at 618-453-4667.
