Sweet 16 Team to Receive Rings at Halftime Saturday

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The members of Southern Illinois University's 2002 Sweet 16 men's basketball team will be honored Saturday night at the football game versus Southeast Missouri State. The players will be presented with their Sweet 16 rings in a halftime ceremony.

Saluki head coach Bruce Weber said he expects all of the members of the 2001-02 team to be on hand for the presentation, including center Rolan Roberts, who is currently pursuing a career in professional basketball.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. and tickets are available by calling the athletic ticket office at 618-453-2000.
