MONKEYISLAND, Okla. - Freshman Kyle Hosick finished second out of 92 golfers to lead the Southern Illinois University men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Shangrila Classic. Eighteen teams competed in this year's event.
Hosick, a freshman from Carmi, Ill., fired a 70-73-68--211 on the two-day event. Additionally, his third-round score of 68 ranks as the lowest 18-hole score of any Saluki this season. Hosick finished behind Central Oklahoma's Todd Dayton.
