What a great night of rest. Brad and I, as well as the rest of the team, woke at 10:00 a.m. At this time everyone headed down to a make shift walk thru in one of the ballrooms in the Marriott. Coach Watson ran us through a few wrinkles Southwest Missouri State added to their offense. After he finished, we sat down to breakfast. Everything was the same, except we had waffles instead of pancakes. Once again the food was good. After breakfast most of the players retired to their rooms for a little rest before the big game. Everything after that went pretty much like clock work. We boarded the bus to go to the game, we stretched on the floor as soon as we got there, shot around for a bit, and then headed into the locker for coach Weber's pre-game speech. The game was played extremely hard by both teams. It was tight the entire way until the end. We were fortunate to hit some shots and shut them out of defense. The locker room was high in emotions after the game. Although we were excited about our win, our focus immediately switched to tomorrow's game. That game is what we have been striving for. No one besides coach Lowery and coach Watson have won a conference tourney title and that is what we want. Nothing more, nothing less. While some of the team met with the media after the game, the rest of us sat down and watched the first half of the game after us. We ended up leaving at halftime to go eat. After we cleaned up at the hotel we walked a block to Deirdorf and Hart's Steakhouse. What an excellent choice. The meal was fantastic. Everyone commented on how good their meal was. I recommend it to anyone looking for a first class steak dinner. The team meeting after our meal was short and sweet. Coach didn't discuss Creighton at all. He mainly went over what we will be doing all day tomorrow and at what times. He did say that we will watch game tape of Creighton and go through some of the things they will do. When he dismissed us we went and had our player only team meeting as usual. We went over some of the things we thought were important to us. To finish off the night, we rented movies and ate a snack consisting of doughnuts or pizza. I can tell you that everyone is ready to go. We expect a battle to the end tomorrow just like we received today. I can't wait, the rest of the team can't wait, and I hope you can't wait. We hope we will be bringing home the title tomorrow night. Well, until next time, go dawgs.
