Memphis, Tenn. - Freshman left-hander Adam Snyder threw three scoreless innings to help lift Southern Illinois (4-4) to a 8-4 win over Northern Illinois earlier today at Gagliano Field.
Snyder, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., picked up his first collegiate win on the mound. Additionally, he extended his scoreless inning streak to six frames, while not allowing a run over that span.
SIU, who fell behind 3-0 early on, rallied to post its third come-from-behind win in eight games this season. Prior to today's game, the Dawgs came back to beat Centenary (2/16) and South Florida (2/22) in a six-day span during the month of February.
The Salukis will return to action at Tennessee-Martin on Wednesday, March 5. Wednesday's contest, which is scheduled for 2 p.m., CST, will mark SIU's ninth straight game on the road.
