For the second straight year, Saluki guard Kent Williams finished runner-up to Creighton's Kyle Korver for Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. In a close vote, Korver finished with 95 points compared to 79 for Williams.
Jermaine Dearman was picked for the second team, while Darren Brooks made honorable mention. Brooks and Stetson Hairston were tabbed for the All-Defense team.
Conference awards are voted on by each team's head coach, sports information director, beat writer and radio play-by-play announcer.
