Track and Field Complete Final Day at Drake Relays

Des Moines, Iowa - Southern Illinois University athletes completed competition Saturday afternoon at the Drake Relays, America's Athletic Classic. The 94th Drake Relays ended the four-day meet with its 38th consecutive Saturday sellout crowd at Drake Stadium (18,000).
SIU's women's sprint medley relay unit of Kelsey Toussaint, Korto Dunbar, Ty Davis, and Noa Beitler set a new Saluki record in 3:54.99 for third place.
Senior Latrice Gray placed fifth in the high jump clearing 5-8.5 (1.74m).
Dunbar was fourth in the 100m-hurdle finals crossing the finish line in 13.89. She qualified yesterday with a career best time of 13.59.
Eli Baker finished 11th in the 3000m-steeplechase with his second best time of the year 9:25.31.
Friday, freshman Ray Scotten tied for ninth in the pole vault clearing 16-6.75.
Next up for the Salukis is the Jesse Owens Classic this weekend at Ohio State University.
