Stetson Hairston to Miss European Trip

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University junior guard Stetson Hairston will not travel with the team to Europe in August because he violated team rules, head coach Matt Painter announced Friday.

The Salukis will spend 10 days in Finland and Sweden and play up to six games against European club teams.

Hairston, who averaged 10.9 ppg and 4.2 rpg last season, will also be forced to sit out both pre-season games in November. The Fairview Heights, Ill. native has started all 67 games in his two-year Saluki career.
