Men's Golf Leads Blue Demon Invitational after One Round

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - Southern Illinois University currently stands in first place with a 290 after its opening round at the Blue Demon Invitational. Second round play was halted due to darkness, and will resume Tuesday morning.
The Salukis hold a six-stroke lead over Eastern Illinois (296). Saint Louis (298), Lewis (299) and Chattanooga (300) then round out the top five, respectively.
The opening round of this year's Blue Demon Invitational was delayed nearly an hour due to frost on the course, thus backing up the entire day and causing the suspension of play with 12 golfers remaining on the course.
The second round will be completed at 8:30 a.m., with the third and final round to follow immediately.
