Final Trio of Saluki Softball Games Cancelled at Rebel Classic

OXFORD, Miss. - The final trio of games for the SIU softball team at the Rebel Classic, including SIU's Friday night matchup against Tennessee-Martin and Saturday's games against Tulsa and host Mississippi, were cancelled due to rainfall and late night snow.

The Salukis return to action in two weeks when they host the annual Kay Brecthelsbaur Southern Classic. The Classic will be played Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 28-29, at the one year old Charlotte West Stadium. The Stadium will be this year's site of the Missouri Valley Conference Softball tournament.

SIU is currently 5-2 on the season after defeating Illinois-Chicago and Mississippi on Friday.
