Softball Takes Two from Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa - Southern Illinois University softball team won both games of a doubleheader against conference rival Drake on Sunday after the games were postponed due to weather conditions earlier this weekend.
With Ali Thompson on the mound, SIU (23-6, 5-0 MVC) notched a 5-4 win in the first game against the Bulldogs, then continued that success by defeating Drake by a score of 7-3 in the second game. Cassidy Scoggins was credited with the second game win.
Drake falls to 14-13 (2-3 MVC) with the two losses.
