ESPN has relaunched and renamed its broadband product ESPN360, formerly called ESPN Broadband, and will offer more than 25 college basketball games this season, showcasing teams across nine conferences, including the Southern Illinois-SMS game on Saturday.
Fans who receive their high speed internet from select service providers can access these games for free by logging on to www.ESPN360.com. During the weekend of January 29-30, ESPN360 will be available to all broadband users who visit www.ESPN360.com.
The addition of these games continues ESPN360's expansion of its live games line-up, following seven college football games this past season, including games with four teams in the Top 25.
ESPN360 is available on your computer via a high-speed data connection from your high-speed Internet provider. The product's enhancements include a new, customizable interface that offers fans more highlights, live games, inside analysis from ESPN commentators, extended interviews, sneak-previews and premieres of upcoming ESPN original shows, and a growing suite of video games. The expanded service also includes archives of ESPN hallmark shows like Pardon The Interruption (PTI).
"ESPN360 highlights the value of a high-speed connection by combining the best elements of video and the Internet for the computer user," said Tanya Van Court, vice president and general manager, ESPN Broadband and Interactive Television. "This is a great opportunity to maximize the power of ESPN's brand to help our partners excite, generate and retain broadband users."
All content is customizable and can be watched in a variety of screen sizes ranging from full-screen to a compact mode that can be viewed on a small portion of the user's screen. ESPN360 provides users with the capability to add and delete videos from their playlists, arrange the order of viewing, and save favorite clips and playlists in My ESPN - the users own channel within the ESPN360 environment.
