Bauer, Marita named Regions Bank Scholar-Athletes of the Week

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University sophomore Nick Bauer and junior Holly Marita are this week's Regions Bank Scholar-Athletes of the Week.
Bauer, who hails from Belleville, Ill., posted a 2-1 record in Flight "B" singles at the Louisville Invitational, where 14 teams competed last weekend. He holds a 3.25 GPA as a Business major.
Marita registered 90 assists in two matches to bring her career total to 2,825, and take over as SIU's third all-time assist leader.
She recorded a game-high 39 in a three-game sweep of Drake before turning around a day later to post 51 assists and 11 digs in a five-game set with Creighton. Marita is a Finance major who carries a 3.20 GPA.
