Toussaint, Acklin Earn MVC Weekly Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Kelsey Toussaint and Anthony Acklin were named the Missouri Valley Conference Female and Male Track Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Toussaint, a senior from Belle Garden, Tobago, finished second in the 60 meter dash at the Eastern Illinois Friday Night Special Feb. 18. Her time in the 60m, 7.96, currently ranks her second in the MVC this season.

The senior currently holds the SIU records in the indoor 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash and is a member of the 4x400 record-holding team.

Acklin, a junior from Glassboro, N.J., posted a 7.96 in the 60 meter hurdles to win the event at the Friday Night Special. His time ranks second in the Valley this season.
