Friday's National Invitational Softball Tournament games cancelled

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Make it 5-for-5 for the Southern Illinois University softball team in weather-shortened tournaments this season.
Rain and thunderstorms made their way in Thursday and Friday, soaking the San Jose area with more rain expected to come in. Because of the inclement weather, Friday's National Invitational Softball Tournament games have been cancelled.
The Salukis were scheduled to play Arizona State at 4 p.m. CT, with a game against UC Davis at 6 p.m. CT.
With Friday's games being cancelled, SIU is scheduled to play Saturday at 12 p.m. CT (Arizona State) and 2 p.m. CT (UC Davis).
After Saturday's games are in the books, a modified, regional bracket will be developed for Sunday.
All NIST games are to be played at the Global Sports Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale, Calif.
