Women's Golf in ninth place

TAMPA, Fla. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team is in ninth place after one day of competition at the NIU Snowbird. The Salukis had a team total of 322, only seven shots out of third place.
Sophomore Christine Zoerlein continued to lead the Salukis with a 3-over-par 75.
Freshman Braidy Hood carded an 81 on the par-72, 5,940-yard Pebblecreek Country Club course in Tampa, Fla.
Josie Lowder had an 82, while Samantha Sutzer totaled an 84. Abbigail Johnson ended the round with an 87.
The Salukis look to improve on the 15-field tournament when it concludes tomorrow with 18 holes.
"We need a good round tomorrow," said golf coach Diane Daugherty. "We need to be consistent throughout the day."
